Vocabulary flashcards
Look at the picture and the meaning, say the word to yourself, then flip the card and rate how well you knew it. Each card comes back just before you would forget it.
How the flashcards work
- Pick a deck: a topic of ten words, every word built on one Greek or Latin root, a whole level, your hard words, or all of them.
- Picture side or word side. Picture first shows the picture and the meaning and asks for the word. Word first shows the word and asks what it means. Both makes two cards of each word.
- Say the answer before you flip. Trying to remember, even when you can’t, is what makes a word stick.
- Grade each card. Again brings it back in a minute; Hard, Good and Easy send it further out (each button shows when you’ll see it next). Words you mark Again or Hard, and words you miss in a quiz, go to My hard words.
- Keys: Space or Enter flips; 1–4 grade (Again, Hard, Good, Easy); S skips.
