Morse Code

Dots and dashes to letters, and back. Print a fresh sheet with its answer key, or try one on screen.

How to play

  1. A dot is a short beep and a dash is a long one. Each letter has its own pattern.
  2. A space comes between letters and a slash between words.
  3. Use the chart on the sheet. On the hard sheets, try it from memory first.

What it exercises

Matching patterns and holding a short code in mind. Tapping the patterns out loud helps them stick.

Levels

  • Easy Short words, with a chart.
  • Medium Short messages, with a chart.
  • Hard Longer messages, chart on the answer page only.
