Common Test Physics Solutions Guide
The University Entrance Common Test (大学入学共通テスト) is Japan's national exam for entering university. It is taken each January, and it replaced the older National Center Test in 2021. Physics (物理) is one of the science papers. Every answer is a number marked on a multiple-choice mark sheet, and the questions come in groups, each built around a diagram or an experiment. A makeup exam (追試験) is held about a week later for students who could not sit the main one. Read more about the test.
About these pages. The Common Test problems are © the National Center for University Entrance Examinations (大学入試センター, DNC) and other rights holders, so we don't reproduce their problems or figures here. Each year links to the official problems and answer key on the DNC website (in Japanese).
The topic labels and solutions are our own, written from scratch: our solutions, not official ones. Answers are the numbers from the official answer key.
