🛒 Choosing it

Frozen peas are picked and frozen at their sweetest, so they're often better than fresh. Snap peas should be crisp and bright.

Best season: Spring. Timing varies by region.

🧊 Storing it

Fridge
1 to 2 days fresh
Freezer
12 months

Keep the fridge at 40°F or below and the freezer at 0°F. Freezer times are for best quality; food kept frozen at 0°F stays safe. When in doubt, throw it out. Times from Rutgers Cooperative Extension.

🔪 Prepping it

Add frozen peas in the last few minutes of cooking. Eat snap peas raw or stir-fry them briefly.
