The ball is in front of the box: you can see all of it. The bunny is behind the box: it is hiding back there!
Key idea
In front means closer to you. Behind means on the far side.
For the grown-up: Use a big box or a couch. Hide a toy behind it and put another in front. Line up toys and ask who is in front and who is behind. A few problems on the screen is plenty. The real practice is with things you can touch.
- Try it at home: Hide behind a chair, then stand in front.
- Line up toy animals: who is in front?
- Play a peekaboo game behind a pillow.
