Finger Numbers

Show and read numbers on fingers.

Not started Jump to practice

Your fingers are great for showing numbers! Hold up 1, 2, 3. One whole hand is 5. Two whole hands are 10.

How many fingers are up?

Key idea

One hand is 5 fingers. Two hands are 10.
For the grown-up: Show numbers on your fingers and ask your child to copy you. Sing finger rhymes. Any fingers are fine for showing a number; there is no one right way. Keep screen time short: two or three problems, then play.
  • Try it at home: Show 4 fingers: can your child copy?
  • Count fingers on both hands to 10.
  • Play “hold up how many” with toys.

Practice

Pass with 3 right answers, the last 2 in a row. Each right answer earns 1 XP.
