Greek core word #111 · pronoun · 144 times in the New Testament
ὅστις
HOS-tisὅστις, ἥτις, ὅ τι — who, whoever; which
- ὅς + τις with both halves declined (ἥτις, οἵτινες); short forms ὅτου, ὅτῳ also exist.
- In the NT almost only the nominative occurs, plus ὅτου in ἕως ὅτου “until”. Neuter ὅ τι is printed apart to avoid confusion with ὅτι “that”.
- Often just “who”, sometimes “whoever” or “such as, the kind who”.
Forms in bold occur in the New Testament; the others complete the pattern. A dash (—) marks a form that does not exist.
