haysεἷς, μία, ἕν — one
- Masculine and neuter third declension (stem ἑν-: ἑνός, ἑνί), feminine first declension (μία, μιᾶς, μιᾷ); singular only.
- Distinguish εἷς “one” from the preposition εἰς and ἕν “one (neut.)” from ἐν “in”.
- Can mean “a certain” or “first”: μία τῶν σαββάτων “the first day of the week”.
Forms in bold occur in the New Testament; the others complete the pattern. A dash (—) marks a form that does not exist.
