εὐθύς
ew-THOOSεὐθύς, εὐθεῖα, εὐθύ — straight; immediately
- Third/first declension adjective in -υς, -εια, -υ (like βαρύς, ὀξύς): stem εὐθε- in most masc./neut. forms, fem. εὐθεῖα, εὐθείας.
- The masculine εὐθύς is used as an adverb “immediately” about 50 times (above all in Mark); MorphGNT parses it as an adjective.
- The adverb εὐθέως has the same meaning.
Forms in bold occur in the New Testament; the others complete the pattern. A dash (—) marks a form that does not exist.
