What's in the book

Lesson 142 is drills 166 and 167: the initials C P joined to the surnames Loomis, Rollins, Ryan and Runnels.

The lesson, step by step

  1. Warm up

Two or three minutes of your usual movement drills: compact ovals, then a line each of small o, m and l.

  2. Look at the model

    Open the book page. Look at drills 166 and 167: "C P Loomis," "C P Rollins," "C P Ryan" and "C P Runnels."

  3. Combinations first

Practice the combinations of capitals several minutes before practicing the small letters.

  4. A full page

A few scattered lines will not meet the requirements. Write a full page.

Take turns through the four names.

  5. Gentle check

Are the initials the same size in every name?

  6. Finish

Write your own initials and surname in the same style.
