Hand-skills printables

Sheets for little hands: tracing, mazes, coloring, cutting and dot-to-dot. Pick a kind, check the preview, and print. Press “Generate a new sheet” for a different page every time.

For the grown-up

Tips for little hands

  • Thick crayons, short crayon pieces and chunky pencils are easier to hold.
  • Let your child trace with a finger first, then with a crayon.
  • One sheet, or even one row, is plenty. Stop while it's fun.
  • Put the sheet in a clear sleeve and use a dry-erase marker to trace it again and again.

Hand skills away from the paper

  • Roll, squeeze and pinch play dough.
  • Pick up pom-poms or cereal with clothespins or tongs.
  • Thread big beads or pasta tubes on a shoelace.
  • Draw in a tray of salt or sand with a finger.
  • Tear paper into strips and glue them down.

More printables

Practice sheets make handwriting paper, letters to trace and arithmetic drills. Brain Puzzles has more mazes for older children. Little ones learning letters can play the pre-reading games.
